Participating in THON is a high priority of the Penn State Central Maryland’s Alumni Chapter.  THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, founded in 1973 by a group of students who wanted to give back to their community.  Funds raised by our chapter benefit children and families battling childhood cancer at the Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital.
